The former Chesapeake restaurant site was purchased from the City of Baltimore in 2010 by Station North Development Partners. SAA|EVI finished renovating this historic property in November 2014, located in the heart of Baltimore’s growing Station North Arts and Entertainment District. The building and adjacent land are situated directly across from Baltimore’s Pennsylvania Station, serving commuter train and Amtrak travelers within an hour’s access to both Philadelphia, PA and Washington, DC, and access to New York City in two and a half hours.
The Chesapeake encompasses 9,000 square feet of restaurant space and 20,000 square feet of office space. In addition, the building has six market-rate residential apartments. SAA|EVI provided project equity and historic tax credits. Construction financing was provided by The Reinvestment Fund (TRF).
