Nelson Kohl Apartments serves as the new front door to Station North, designed to reflect the vibrancy of the burgeoning neighborhood and to welcome residents by offering more than 100 transit-oriented living spaces.

The project included investment from actor Wendell Pierce, known for his roles on The Wire and Suits, who was drawn to the project due to its contribution to revitalizing the North Arts and Entertainment district without displacing long-time residents.

Upon completion, the project was deemed “one of the brightest examples” of neighborhood improvement by Baltimore’s mayor. In 2021, SAA | EVI President, Ernst Valery, joined the Penn Station Partners development team in order to renovate the historic Penn Station, which is anticipated to total over $500 MM.
