In late 2021, SAA | EVI acquired a portion of the former Pilgrim Village site in Buffalo’s revitalizing Buffalo-Niagara Medical corridor. SAA | EVI demolished the existing garden-style housing to make way for two new buildings consisting of 237 units designed to achieve net zero energy.
In late 2021, SAA | EVI acquired a portion of the former Pilgrim Village site in Buffalo’s revitalizing Buffalo-Niagara Medical corridor. SAA | EVI demolished the existing garden-style housing to make way for two new buildings consisting of 237 units designed to achieve net zero energy.
Pilgrim Village Family will include 132 units for families and commercial space to contribute to the growing medical corridor. Pilgrim Village Senior will consist of 105 units for 55+ households with 49 units designated as permanent supportive housing for frail, elderly seniors.
Amenities will include 5,000+ sqft of outdoor space, 5,000+ sqft of commercial space, a playground, off-street parking, a computer lab, a gym, a game room, and a library.
Together, Pilgrim Village Family and Pilgrim Village Senior will be the largest multifamily development financed by Low Income Housing Tax Credits in New York outside of New York City to achieve net zero energy. Combined, the two projects have a total project cost of approximately $88 MM.
